Idea and Intention
The original intention behind “An Extraordinary Woman” was to send a special gift to all the incredible women in my life just to let them know how wonderful I think they are. By sending it out and asking them to forward it along to all the special women in their lives I started to imagine how many people would be touched by this one simple act of kindness. I hope that you will participate with me to spread this special gift around the world.
Extraordinary Woman Project
While creating this gift, the intention grew into a very special project. I had no idea that there are so many lives affected by cancer on a daily basis and felt a tremendous need to help in some way. In turn, I came up with an idea to raise money to help these women who are trying to heal. Not for research, but to find an organization that I could donate to whose main focus is to supply help with everyday things that may be difficult to accomplish while undergoing treatment.
The simple tasks of household responsibilities like laundry, preparing meals, and getting the kids off to school become very stressful when coupled with the complications of overcoming the disease. I truly believe that by alleviating this kind of pressure the door will be open for healing in a peaceful environment.
Raising Money
The way I will be raising money for our featured organizations is through the sale of “An Extraordinary Woman”. By clicking on the “buy the song” button you can download An Extraordinary Woman for 99 cents. I will personally donate all the net proceeds from the downloads to Singleton Moms and Angels 4 TLC. Please join me in helping these truly Extraordinary Women who are fighting for their lives.
Our Featured Organizations:

Singleton Moms
Our mission is to help single mothers with cancer be able to look forward to recovery and a bright future without feeling overwhelmed by financial and/ or household obligations. Obligations, if left unattended, would otherwise affect the well being and future of them and their children.
Our vision is to build an inspiring organization that uplifts and changes lives for both the women helped and those who help them. To remain a reputable organization that members of the community are proud and excited to work with. We aspire as an organization to continuously stay grounded by always keeping a personal one on one relationship with every family who receives our services. You can personally help by making a donation at http://www.singletonmoms.org/

The Angels 4 TLC
The Angels 4 TLC Foundation was created on behalf of Trycia Lynn Carlberg, an incredibly talented and professional dancer/singer for over 14 years, who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. With such an aggressive form of cancer, Trycia needs the best, most progressive treatment possible. She is featured in our video and is truly an Extraordinary Fighter and Woman!
Trycia hopes that with this foundation, she will be able to assist others who are battling cancer. The goal is to provide a service for women who don't have friends or family close by to provide rides, meals, financial support, an ear to talk to, etc.
You can help in her healing process by making a donation at http://www.angels4tlc.org

Barbara Conte
In the winter of 2007 I was inspired to write a song called An Extraordinary Woman for the special women in my life but especially for my Aunt Barbara Conte affectionately known as Aunt Bobbie who at the time was battling cancer. I wanted to give her this song as a Christmas gift in hopes that it would inspire her to fight for her life. I wrote the song, rushed to record it at a friend’s studio, put the words in a beautiful frame along with a CD and sent it off in time for her to open it on Christmas day. The package arrived on December 22, 2007 and that day my aunt went into the hospital for what we thought would be a simple procedure. Much to our dismay she slipped into a coma.
I asked my cousins to please play the song everyday for her and prayed she would hear the words and return to life. Barbara Conte passed away one month later. My Aunt Bobbie was unable to personally open my gift but I knew in my heart that as she rested and the song was playing the words resonated in her soul for she was a conscious, beautiful spirit that was well connected to this powerful universe. For this I am grateful.
My Aunts passing had such an impact on my life I realized this song should be shared with women all over the world who need to know how extraordinary they really are before it is too late. An Extraordinary Woman is dedicated to the memory of my Aunt Barbara Conte.
